The City of Lynn is pleased to offer the following benefits through Boston Mutual Insurance Company. Group benefits have been communicated by Platinum Worksite Benefits, Inc. (PWB), a professional benefits enrollment firm, since 1997

The City of Lynn offers a $10,000 basic term life insurance plan to active, full-time employees working 20 or more hours per week. New hires who enroll within 31 days of their hire date are also eligible for guaranteed issue voluntary term life insurance of up to $150,000.
Coverage is also available on spouses and children. Once enrolled, members and their spouses remain in the age band in which they were initially enrolled.

The basic life insurance reduces to $5,000 upon retirement. The voluntary term life terminates upon retirement. To keep the voluntary life into retirement, the employee must complete a conversion or portability form and send it to Boston Mutual within 31 days of retirement. The cash value illustrated at the time of purchase, when you reach age 65, is guaranteed as long as your coverage stays in force.*
Guaranteed portability.
Even if your employment changes, you can keep this coverage and pay us directly for the premiums
Guaranteed additional purchase.
If you buy a minimum amount of coverage, you guarantee yourself the right to purchase any remaining portion of the guarantee issue limit at future approved enrollments (subject to product and payroll deduction availability).
